Can focus boy beat me

hi
there is a guy that works with me that has a 2001 ford focus that has a muffler and a reactive air filter on his car and no other mods.it is a five speed. he thinks he can beat my1992 camaro rs 3.1 v6 automatic. my mods are a 3:73 rear end,k&n air filter, flowmaster exhuast, pulleys, jet stage 2 chip, shift kit, crane ignition. his best time after running 11 times is a 16.2. do you think i can take him.

Well your car should look pretty nice if its a 92 RS. But I hate to say that i would be a close race. If your only running a V-6 with automatic. Then stick with asking other people if you will win or not. You would already know if you were running on V-8's But check it out your car looks good but if you want to do some serious mods then get another engine cuz they will preform better like your stage 2 chip for instance

Even if you do lose...his car is still ugly (not that I'd turn down a ZX3 for a daily driver or anything...)

A V6 Camaro 3rd Gen, is good for what a 17 1/4 probably. Even with your mods, he'll win. I'm not sure but what is the powerband of a V6. I have 3:73s and they actually hurt my performance cause of the cam I have.

Where are you getting 30HP from, sounds very generous, with having a V6, with only cat-back, pullies , k &n , and ignition. I'd guess you're 10hp overstock, then you have to figure in the milage on your car.

From my knowledge those chips don't do crap. Not flaming here, I just don't see 30 hp there.
