not even close yet

it can be done if you do a lot to your 3.1 or step up to an eight.
He's probably running a legit 15.7-16.1ish if stock- just an educated guess, and 0-60 in mid 7'sish. you're lucky if you break 8.4 0-60 and 17.2 in the 1/4. Think cold air, chip, ported intake, cam, shift kit, gears, drag slicks, drop useless weight, go on a diet, mill your heads, and then you'll have a way better chance.

Or just put in a v-8 with at least 220hp-2nd easiest route

Or just buy a car with a v-8 already in it- easiest

I'd say he's got you. A V6 3rd Gen is good for low 17s I would guess, and a VTEC can do better than that.

as much as i hate to say it they are right. i have actually riden in one of those things and by *** that VTEC will really get up and go. you would have to do a lot to ur v6 to beat him, and the exhaust and ignition might help but u still wont win, unless that car is way out of sync and he cant drive. race him through first until about 3500 rpms and then shut down(that's when VTEC kicks in i think, lol)

even for me to beat him i would have to have headers, exhaust and prob. an intake wouldn't hurt. i only know one person with one and it's fast so watch out.

you should get the bottle, u got lots of room for it. put it behind the passenger seat. or take that bass tube out and put it back there.

Trade your car for a 2nd or 3rd gen Z28 and go whoop him. Or just get someone else to do it for you. He's only got 160hp so if you have more than that in you present car and can't beat him in the 1/4 due to power to weight ratio, you can still beat him on top speed. So race him from an 80 mph roll for a until it becomes apparent he can't catch you then turn on your flashers!

No no just kidding guys. But yes he will beat you like a bad wife in that race and then talk about how American cars suck. So for the love of G O D challenge him to a stereo contest or big slong contest anything but a street race.
Check ya at the finish line.

The 1.6 "four finger banger" in the civic SI is actually 170hp, the exact same engine (specs and all) in the integra but the factory rates it less at 160hp for the civic due to marketing strategy.
This may not really mean anything and the difference isnt that much and many ricers who drive them dont even know it themselves.

Don't forget turbo or supercharging. Yes it would cost you an arm and a leg, and I'm sure a lot of people on here would rather just do the V8 swap for the same price (probably cheaper actually), but hey, if you love your six you gotta keep your options open

Uh, I'm pretty sure the Integra's run the B18 engine(1.8L, I think it's in the GS-R and Type-R, not sure about lower models) and the Civic Si's run the B16A(1.6L). The B16 is rated at 160hp i'm pretty sure.

Anyway, yes XxMoLexX, it is a 1.6L VTEC 4 banger and does make 160hp. Trust me, those cars can haul if the driver is good. My friend has a '95 EX coupe, it's only rated at 127hp(I think, somewhere in there) with a D16 and 5 speed and it's still a fun car. When you hear VTEC and the bigger cam kick in it sounds REAL nice. Be careful, if he has a new intake, be it short ram or cold air, and exhaust, it will just widen the gap even more. The only way to win is to not race, your car is too heavy and too underpowered with that little engine. The truth hurts
