Had a fun night out on the town saturday night

Well I had a night of utter stupidity now that I look back, but it was a h*** of a good time.

1) I have a new top speed, 140 MPH, and it was still pullin some so I let off before I died

2) this was the best, I was parked and a mustang reved at me, so 10 minutes later when I left, I saw him at the light to go back into the parking lot as I was going out of it. I was pulling out and making a left at the same time, well the light was green as i was approaching so I was all ready doing about 10-15 mph, well as I was 1/2 through my turn onto the highway (Rt 309 if anyone knows it, pulling out of Wal-mart in Quakertown) I floored it did a 360 and kept goin like it never happened

Stupid Stuff=Yes

Fun Stuff=Hell Yes

Would I do it again=Yes

Should I do it again=Hell No

Lock this post=Hell No (please? )

sounds like some good fun man. Ya 140 is kinda fast. I buried the needle on my 145 speedo in the IROC and the lines become solid on the highway. It's definitly a scary yet fun thing.

140 huh, I said good bye to that speed when I got 3:73s...
And a 360* I sure would hate to see you hurt that beautiful car, please be careful and for other's safety too, I learned my lesson, totaled my 1st car in a parking lot.

3.73's maybe I could hit 140, it would take all day to get there though, but with 3.42's the way it was pullin it felt like I could have pulled maybe another 20-25 MPH, but my bag of ***** wasnt as powerfull as the car was.

EDIT: I totalled my first car in a lot too, totally not my fault at all, I actually just posted the story here somewhere in this post:

140???

Scary is a good word. I've been 110 in a Corsica twice and slightly beyond that in the Crown. Scary as hell, for me. I got really fast once in the old 403 cadillac, when it was in the cadillac. Not scary at all. Of course it was a completely straight country highway with no traffic. And a pesky BMW trying to catch up. Don't know my speed then, 85mph speedo flatlined for a while. Probably 100 even or a little more or less.

Back when i had the Stealth 140 was fun... I've had the TA up to 120 but it didnt seem like i was getting much more out of the stock LG4... I'm more worried about 0-100mph now!

The Stealth was Great, ppl always wanted to race me from a dead stop... the would usally when but if i got them on the highway from a 60-??? It was all me...

with my 2.73 in the car (before i blowed it up hehe) i hit 120 on the sothernstate very easily i could have hit 140 i think if i tried maybe more but i was crusing at that speed for about 5 min next to a few of my friends with 88 tbi formula 5 speed, 95 dodge stealth 5 speed, 88 rustang gt 5 speed, 98 ram air ta 6 speed
when we saw redbrake lights all i smelt was brakes
but now with the 3.45 9 bolt in there i go 115 in 3rd at 5500rpm and when i shift to 4th i hit 120 but then the tack stoped at 4 grand and would not move any hire

140, thats damn fast. I've only had the ***** to do 130 in my GTA, it was still pulling. I hit 125-130 in a 90 Cutlass Ciera, about 100 in my 1971 Caddy Eldorado convt w/a 500ci and a 3speed auto, and about 110-115 in my old 91 T-bird with a HO 5.0 and auto with 2.73 gears. I LOVE SPEED!!!!

If you think that's scary, try doing 85-90 mph in one of these puppies...

I'm not you guys. That thing was FAST!
I did it when I was 16, before I had my license (had a learning permit) and my dad was asleep in the passenger seat!

When my friend had his 99 LS1 camaro we had the needle pined at 165 before his 3.73's. When I drove his 99 C5 Hardtop I had it up to 145 before I shifted into 5th. The C5was so smooth and a really nice ride. In my 88 TBI i had the needle pined at 120. It took me a good minute to get there but I got there. Before I took my 86 Z28 to Long Island I had it up to 130. Needless to say I love to go really fast. Only on straight roads. The Turnpike in Jersey is my fav highway to go fast on.

Going fast is cool. Just make sure the road is sufficently clear before you do stupid things. My personal fastest was 125mph in the neon. I've since gone 120 in it (i don't think the guys in the car i was catching could believe it, they flew past me at about 80 acclerating, and i decided to pursue, they were at most 1/4 mile away, by the time i hit 120 i was on their bumper, maybe 300 ft back) and 120 in my friend's buick centry (he was driving).

Just remember that speedos are notoriously inaccurate over about 80-85mph usually reading too high. So unless you have your speed radar verified, don't get too upset if people don't believe you. The neon is supposed to have a govener at 118, so that may be my highest speed.

The speedo only goes to 155. But yep, It'll do it. You must have a death wish to try driving that fast of public roads. Tell your friend he is the reason insurance rates are insane on LS1 cars

I wouldnt say it was "safe" when I did it, but it was 1:30 in the morning on I-78 between Easton, PA and Allentown, PA.
