haha...I saw that jack **** up at the convience store last week. The guy came charging into the parking lot, scraping the nose of the car of course (I just stood there and shook my head)...I didn't get a good look at who it was because I was too busy laughing at the aluminum covers that you mentioned! The car sounded like crap too...you could hear the ticking from like 50 feet away. I couldn't tell whether it was exhaust or his engine about to explode. He did a small burnout after leaving the parking lot...but I think he left more oil behind then rubber.

If it's the same one I'm thinking of it's two tone black and rust coloured.

Don't know of this particular guy (I am in Brampton fairly regularly)- and he may be an a$$hole for running around in parking lots with a crack pipe hanging out of his mouth- BUT- a parking lot (especially an underground one) is for cars/vans/etc. NOT skateboards, rollerblades or pedestrians with nothing better to do than hang out in empty parking spaces.

If I happen to come around a corner in an underground lot (most have pretty poor visibility around corners) and some retard on a board zips in front of me at 30km/h- guess what? I'm laughing all the way to the insurance company and the boarder is trying to explain to cops WTF he was doing skating around an underground parking lot while he gets his broken legs loaded on the gurney...

I'm sensing Eric has some hostility towards skaters!

Hostility? No, not really.

-Don't get me wrong, the guy doing burnouts was obviously a boob- but people also have to realize that underground parking lots are for vehicles.

What irritates me are actually pedestrians -i.e. the type the walk against the signal (i.e. green light/advance green for cars- but still a 'stop' for pedestrians)- they block traffic flow with their arrogance/ignorance and still don't seem to recognize that if they get hit walking against a signal (not because the signal changed after they started crossing, but because they 'jumped' it) by a 4000lb vehicle they're going to have big problems (physically) AND they will have problems with the law- not the vehicle operator.

When this gets compounded by someone on wheels- i.e. a bicycle, skateboard, rollerblades, etc. how is anyone reasonably supposed to avoid hitting people in these situations when they can (and often do) "shoot out" at 20, 30, 40 km/h where they shouldn't be. Brampton is a perfect example of this- there is about 3 times the traffic now than there was 15 years ago (poor city planning and no new arterial roads for 20+ years)- so the likelihood of pedestrians getting "penalized" for their own stupidity is much much higher. If pedestrians and people on devices that are not motorized want to use the same facilities that vehicles do- they should pay more attention and have to follow the same rules/laws/common sense.

Personally, I've never hit anyone- but there have been more than a couple of "close calls" because someone not in a vehicle has done something really stupid. It's aggravating to say the least...

Back to the specifics of this case, I don't know that mustangssuckass was necessarily doing anything 'wrong' beyond the fact that he and a bunch of others were skateboarding in an underground parking facility- meant for motorized vehicles.

-Kinda like that old expression "Why don't you go play tennis on the freeway, son?"
