there was a thread...
There was a thread a few months back about headers and some local dealers. As I remember there were a few really great deals posted.

i dont know the specific "speed shops" in the GTA, but...dont laugh...check crappy tire. they cant get hedman and hooker stuff i do believe. i got my flowtech headers there and they were approx 30 dollars plus the difference in taxes cheaper than any speed shop in my area. just a a thought, especially if you have any CT money saved up. it doesnt hurt to ask. maybe check out that place in BC that someone mentioned in prior thread. they only charge gst and shipping isnt usually too much i dont think.. i think they were called Canadian performance or something. search the board.

they were 169.99 plus appliciable taxes (195.xx with tax i think). they are cheap, however they are only 1.5" primaries. they dont come with a y-pipe, but you can order one. i reused the factory y-pipe. they seem to fit quite well.
I just secured my summer job, so headers will be on the way. I'm going to try and do a cam & intake before GB weekend. My current cam is .455/.455 it's way better than the stock one, but still not my style.
I'm lookin at the Headman 1 3/4 with Y-pipe. They are cheap, and should do the trick for me. I'm going to put a single 3" cutout in right behind the Y-pipe.

Hedman #68481 should fit your car and they come with a y-pipe but they're usually about $300 US. Those headers have AIR tubes on them which you may need for emissions on your 87. I had to cut the tubes off which was a real pain particulary as I found out later that you could get them w/out AIR.
If I had to do it again I'd check out the Canadian Tire performance catalogue but you have to know exactly which part you want because the dolt at the counter won't. I think you have to pay up front also.

I bought mine from Performance Unlimited here in London a couple of years ago. I using Hedman shorty headers #68470 and y-pipe #17470. They set me back about $300.00 for both.
