Usually, at DPS, the cost is aprox. $40-50 for 2-3 runs if you have enough people booked. I have another dyno session coming up for myself and that will be it for me. But I'll come along to watch though.

i might be interested if the cost is low enough. i would love to know how much power my car makes, but i dont have very much money, so it would have to be cheap.

Another possibility is Agostino Racing in Whitby. tfbm has an association with him, and when I talked to him at a 'dyno day' at his place about a month ago- he said we would get a discount (somewhere in the ballpark of $100.00 an hour if I recall).

What this means is that if a few people get together (say 6 total) and book for 3 hours, that's $50.00 each for as many runs as you can fit in. The reason I like this idea over a flat $40.00 for two consecutive runs is that you can do a run or two, take car off- someone else loads their's on- you make your adjustments and then get back into line. Also- the guy running the dyno will offer suggestions/tips. If we assume that you can do 2 runs and load/unload a car in 20 minutes you would actually get 6 runs for $50.00 and time in between to work on things...

Forrest&Forrest Racing in Kitchener charge $135/hr for test& tune on their chassis dyno or you can book it for 4 hrs at $320.00. That way you can get a group in and while one is running on the dyno the others can be tuning their cars.If you get about 5 cars in it would cost about $65.00 each. Not too bad, if you ask me. I think in 4 hrs you could probably get more than 5 cars done with a few runs each. I don't know that for sure, but from what the guys there were telling me it doesn't take long on the dyno itself, it's the tuning that takes most of the time.

$320.00 for 4 hours sounds like a deal!

Would be A-ok with me- I'm in Mississauga so Whitby or Kitchener is almost the same drive time...

Is this for 3rd gen only? I'd like to hook up with something like that. I've got an 88 Astro van with a 305 in it (it's not your Mama's mini van!).

Schomberg, ON. TPI, that takes some work, I went with TBI. Astro's are great 8 swap candidates, pretty much everything 3rd gen bolts in. Kind of a 3rd gen toaster on wheels. Makes a neat sleeper!

Seems like a good way to do it. If it could be set up in KW area, you can count me in.

OK sounds like there is enough interest, so I will call them this week and see when they have times available. All ask is that everyone that says they will go, that they make all efforts to attend, as the cost will be divided equally. I will try for June 15th as the HighwayMen car club has a show happening that weekend.I will keep you posted. If this date isn't good, please post and let me know asap.
Kevin
P.S. TriggerGTA will have more info as to what is happening with the show that weekend if anyone is interested.

Throwing this one in. I have a buddy that MAY be available with his laptop & prom burner set-up. He's offered to plug into my ECM and re-program the E-PROM. June 15 works for us.

Heys guys

Unfortunatetly I only have the definition file for my 1227747 - SD- TBI. I have zero experience with MAF. But from what I was reading in another post here, you'll be able to see how it all works. My setup isn't fancy but the price was right and it works.
I imagine most if not all of you guys are running TPI ??
