Thanx AcceldZ, do they not make any systems that use a TB plate for nitrous injection?

Nitrous on a stock motor, I see where this is going.
Don't do that, your car is sweet, if you want nitrous, build a motor to take it, or else all that polishing work you've done will be a waste of time.

Plate systems have a problem getting equal fuel/nitrous flow to all 8 cylinders. The NX kits use a single jet that injects both fuel and nitrous into the rubber coupling that connects the MAF and the TB. If you want a plate system you'll have to look at NOS (part #5151 I think) or Compucar. The other players are TNT, ZEX, and Nitrous Works. I'm not familiar with what they offer so I can't comment on them. A healthy and properly fueled stock engine will have no problems using a small nitrous kit. Nitrous doesn't kill engines, idiots that don't know how to use thier nitrous do. That's why i'm afraid of mine

I am aware of the "math" behind a nitrous system. You can run an engine on it all the time considering 2 factors, 1) The extra power you produce doesn't exceed that of what your bottom end can withstand, and 2) The air fuel mixture is always good, thus preventing detonation.

The system I want is a wet system for sure.

AcceldZ, I would like the TB plate, because it looks neater. Thanks for your suggestions, I will check out those other manufaturers.

Here's a question for ya.... will a LT1 TB plate work on a L98? Because a lot of these guys forget about us 3rd gens. TNT has a nice looking kit.

cheating? Sorry i did not read the rule book!! If someone could please post a link to the offical rule it would help.
How is Nos cheating? a win is a win and a kill is a kill and a 12.s run is still 12.s so how is it cheating?

Nate what you were looking for is right here

BTW in the info is said that the TPI will not work on LT1 so i bet that LT1 will not work on TPI

Yeah... I don't want a NOS setup though... I'd like something nicer and different. the TNT system is what I am leaning toward. I will call them tomorrow.

Errrrrr, are you serious? Do you want nitrous to make your car quicker or do you want nitrous so that you can say you have nitrous? I based my choice on a ton of research, not how the system looks. A decent setup is probably going to cost you about $1000 for all the goodies (basic kit, bottle heater, gauge, blow down setup, purge valve). That's a lot o'cash for a "big blue bottle". Meh, to each his own.

Acceld.... I like plate systems better... question, how do you put a nozzle in a rubber intake duct?

The nozzle is sealed using threaded flanges. It is airtight. Only the spraying tip is actually in the ducting.

........and those TNT kits include everything. From what I have heard, the TNT kits are the best available. Is the $650 US or Canadian?

nitrous isn't cheating, your mom paying for your car is.

anyone have anymore info. on zex? i hear they are a breeze to install and will work nicely on a stock tpi motor. I'd like to bolt on an extra 55-75 for fun.
