Good place to get timing done in S Ontario?

Hey guys do you know a good shop to goto to have my timing adjusted? I have a 92RS and just installed an LT1 cam along with 3inch exhaust and 3.73 gears. car was running ok but I knew I had to adjust the fuel pressure and timing, i did the AFPR mod in the tech articles, the part that sticks out of the pod came out with the screw, was it supposed to?? and when we were doing my timing, my friend sorta slipped and hit my distributor turning it. Now my idle is wrong and my car stalls occasionally.
What should my timing be at now? and what about my fuel pressure?
Jesse

Best way to do timing is to advance it until you hear a ping going into 2nd gear.. then back it off a tad

Uhhh, maybe on a 1978 GMC half ton The ESC isn't going to like that method. I'm not to familiar with TBI engines but I doubt that you'll want much more than 8 degrees base timing. That's assuming you havn't replaced the TBI unit with a carb. If that's the case, just do what Nathan said, heheh

Oh, he has TBI... hmm... well for my TPI, Performance Resource tells you to do the "ping timing" method... I wish they would just tell you,, set it to 8* or something

Make sure to disconnect the little brown wire. It's for the ESC, and it advances your timing based on input from the ECM, which gets it's data based on the RPM.
Fairly stock TBI engines don't like much more than 4 degrees advaced, with the ESC disconnected. You may be able to go slightly higher.
Remember, little brown wire, with a stripe. Should be on the pass side of the engine bay.
