Where can I get crystal headlights
You guys most definitely always see all those cars with the blue headlights. Anybody know if they have em for camaros? Seen em before.
BTW, here's a question.... The headlights just have bulbs inside right? So if a bulb burns out, then I just replace the bulb right? (don't worry, no bulbs burnt out just asking). Or do you have to replace the entire housing thing?

Changing lights on a Camro is as easy as pie. Just take a look from the top when the hood is open, you'll notice 3 screws, the one in the middle adjusts the angle of the beam, the other 2 hold the light in place. I think there are a few users with the blue or high intensity lights on their cars, but I'm not sure. Check CT if they have them if not, I'm not sure who'd have them... I'm actually in the hunt for good lights, my passenger side took a big rock hit to it and cracked the glass on it, its still working so I'm waiting till it dies before I got out and get new ones. The funny part is it's been cracked for almost 2 months now... you'd think with the shifts in hot and cold weather during the summer that it would have failed within a few weeks of taking that hit...

Well the real lights your talking about that you see on mercedes, bimmers, porsches and audis etc. are called xenon. Real xenon light kits are 500-1000 bucks USC for most applications if i remember right. They are nice s h i t and have a lifetime warranty. But by the time you add tax and installation fees, I could think of a few better ways to spend two grand canadian...!
The headlights you see on cars that didnt come with them are 99.9999% of the time going to be using the high intensity bulbs. I dont think Ive seen any companoes make the full headlight for a camaro or anything except for popular ***** cars (and I use the term cars loosely). You just replace the bulb with a hi intensity one. They come in all sorts of tints but the most popular is blue because it looks similar to the xenon ones. If your going to the brighter 80/100 watt bulbs its probably better if you upgrade your harness for 70ish bucks because nasty things can happen to your switch and wires. It will also make your lights a bit better. If you can bare the pain its probably best if you goto a ***** shop and go through what you want because they will have the most options. Altogether if you want to install them yourself your probly looking at a bit over $100.

That's the chemical I was trying to remember.. xenon bulbs.. the true ones are the only ones that don't hurt my eyes.. the blue tint/ high intensity lights I see at night on the 401 do a real number on my vision... with the increase of ***** activity.. more and more of them have these style lights and I swear on the 401 late at night these are not what you want to see in oncoming traffic...
Ooohh i dont know about that I still havnt seen any full headlight replacements that are not stock but that definately doesnt mean they dont exist. I forgot to mention if you dont want to change your wiring or switch or any of that crap you can just get normal bulbs with a blue tint. They might be a tiny bit brighter than stock but the blue tint makes the light white and easier on the eyes (your eyes that is, definately not the car coming at you!).

I've never looked at a camaro bulb but on my T/A it's one enclosed unit. If the bulb goes, I have to buy the whole unit. Can't just buy a bulb and insert it. But I got lucky 3 years ago working as an apprentice mechanic. A Mazda RX-7 (*****) came in for a safety inspection. I noticed that the car came with the same headlight unit as mine. After a closer inspection I noticed that it was an aftermarket unit. It was made so that if the bulb goes you just go out and replace the bulb not the whole unit. So, I took them out and swapped in the ones off my car
The cool thing was that it already had the crstal white(blue tint) bulbs in them. At the time those units were hot and people had a hard time finding them. Oh...and a car had to have proper lights to pass safety and blue/crsytal whites were not approved hence my excuse for taking them off.
As for now, try crappy tire.

I went to Canadian Tire yesterday and they said they can order the lights for me. They're like $30 each. You gotta replace the entire light housing. They have them in hyper white or hyper blue.
