High Flow Fuel Pumps
My name is Dave and I have a 91 Z28 5.7 liter engine. I did the whole top end (Throttlebody, plenum, runners, intake and heads) along with other mods like 1.6:1 gold rockers, hedders, highflow cats, flowmaster exhaust I also installed the Vortech SQ S-trim S\charger and 30lb injectors also a crane cams adjustable fuel regulator. My question has to do with FUEL PUMPS I have not tuned the car yet. the tuner told me that I have to get a high volume fuel pump anyone with experience in this area can you help ?
Thanks

Yeah, your definately gonna want a new fuel pump, especially with your new NEEDS. Whether your gonna go with an intake pump or an inline pump is up to you, either way the tank will have to come off to either remove, or replace the stock pump.
There are lots of aftermarket pumps available, Holley, Carter, BG makes pumps i think. Alot of guys on the board swear by a type with a funny name, Walboro i think? Anyways, this type is cheap and decent from what i hear.
Hope this may help, but probably not.

Sorry, I don't know about the fuel pump, I just thought I would welcome you to the board. You will have to post some pics of your car. What part of Ontario are you from?

Here's where I would start............

You may need an in-line booster as well. One of the best is the Vortech T-Rex kit but it's kinda pricey. Walbro also makes in-line boosters.

Thats a serious setup man. You DEFINATELY need a pump. I recommend an Aeromotive pump. They are one of the best out there, but expensive. Either way its gonna be expensive. If you r going in tank then go with a holley pump, a 190 or 250. If you are going external then go with an aeromotive pump. With one of those pumps that thing will give any other car a molesting. Good luck.

The Holley pumps are made by Walbro. The Aeromotive stuff is the cat's ***. It's the best but you have to pay accordingly. They also don't sell much in kit form but any competant shop should be able to hook you up.

I hate Holley pumps, 2 have died on me this yr.(Holley Blue) But i am a carbed car so maybe their high-press ones are better.
Personally i think Aeromotive is way too overpriced unless you have an 800HP motor, stick with a BG in my opinion.
