My impressions of this board

Although we have our differences, this has to be one of the tightest f-body groups I have ever met. I have no doubt that in the months and years to come we're gonna see a good amount of people that want to break this up, but what we're doing here is worthwhile and respectable to say the least and the best part of it all being that its not out of membership fees, obligations or being part of an organization. We do it because on this board we share a common bond. We're f-body fans to the core and we all live in Ontario, one of the greatest places to live in the world right now. I'm proud to be a board member here and will continue to work with everyone to improve the quality of the board and make every post here a worthwhile read. In the past few months I've seen this board mature and change so much it doesn't resemble anything like the other boards.

We come here with mutual respect for each other, we come here because of the love of f-bodies and we come here to share a tidbit of our experiences to each other. As long as we hold true to our ideals and show a decorum in here not unlike that witnessed at the track on Saturday no one will be able to ruin this for us except ourselves. To the punk that wants to insult us and try to disrupt us, we're better than that and can and will not reduce ourselves to your level.

Peace to all on our board and events like Saturday happen because of all of us. A big round of applause to the Thirdgen Association of Ontario, may she grow and prosper forever.

hey guys,

well i bought my iroc 3 years ago...knew nothing about it except that it was a tpi(motor that was in a vette) and that it was fast as hell..
bought it from a guy who didnt take care of it, paint was bad interior was horrible and so on.
i stumbled upon this board (thirdgen.org) and then seen there was a board just for ontario guys.
(this all in like 3 years)
now i have a fully customized iroc) some like it some dont and some dont and couldnt give a fuzz because it isnt their car.
i must admit that i have learned alot about my iroc more in this 3 -4 months that i have been on here then the previous 2.5 years prior.
its nice to see people coming together and expressing a love and passion for something that really isnt alove(although sometimes we think they are possessed).

what im trying to say is..if it wasnt for some of the people on here i wouldnt know the amount(not much cuz im still learning) that i know now about my car and i look forward to meeting you guys who i have met and also those who i have not yet met in coming functions be it track days or just meet ups at krispy kremes or whatnot.

thanks guys

Slade, you are so right. Well said, almost as good as my Respect speach j/k. I was at the body shop today, and I told the owner about you guys, and he was impressed to say the least. He even told me that we must be a tight group. That's an outsider, looking in. I don't want to hug anyone though, that's just not cool, well maybe Sinoed and copperchick. Hey anyone seen Barbie lately...

I like this board because up until now we haven't had the need for rules and beurocracy and membership dues and insurance...

Everyone should know that there is a time & a place for everything..... At the GB meet back in the Spring, some cars reached high speeds in convoy to the beach, and everyone knew the risks involved. There was no problem. That's the way it should be. I can understand that some of the TFBM guys might have been a little miffed by some of our boys, but anyone who has watched any of the wild times vids knows that 4th gens are no angels either The important thing is to have respect and think before you act. Eg: No burnouts past funeral processions etc....

I would like to keep formal legislation off the board... if someone is being a dink, they will be confronted you can count on it.

Cool board...

Well I'm not from Ontario but I have made a few "email friends" from this board...I came to Thirdgen.org shortly after I bought my IROC.....wasn't long before I found the Ontario Region Board. Being that it is easier to chat to fellow Canadians it was a simple decision to hang out here.

Hope the board keeps getting better!!

Well said slade!

Now everyone lets get on with things and get back to having fun etc, rather than dwelling on what things happened or what people perceive happened.

Thats just my 2 cents!

I've been here what...just about a month maybe more? I have had help in any area that I needed. I had help on my RPO codes, engine parts and what to buy, what not to buy. This here is basically my family away from family It's great...doubt I'll go anywhere else for any help what so ever for my bird.

Even though I haven't met any of you guys on here, I have an image of what you guys are like and stuff...and let me tell you, its all good Looking forward to meeting you though!

Yup its definately the spot to be... And like johnyiroc said and daz said in the other post, if you have a problem with something someone did just go talk to them at the event. That whole convoy fiasco couldve been solved in 10 minutes. That is unless you like the 75ish post threads about nothing ...
We do need one rule I think, If your upset with something did at an event you settle it in person or forever hold your piece. Not that anyone was mad at one person but it can still be applied.
hey iroc2nv if your sure your motor is from a vette it is definately a 350, and low 14s maybe high 13s are possible, close to what you got on the gtech. And if your still putting dart heads on it, I gotta get first dibs on those aluminum puppies pm me!
And tracey, if the metaphorical wrench slade was talking about was in your metaphorical pocket, please keep it to yourself
