Anybody Know Anything About Flexlight Adjustable Fan Switches?

I went and ordered a "Flexilight Adjustable Fan Switch" thingy majigy. It cost me $75. It has different settings at which I can tell my fan to turn on. It's like a temperature/fan switch or whatever.

Anybody know anything about this product?

DAZ he said...

"can have to ranges with infinite settings, sensors and would work with the stock setup"...

which means YAH should have bought a Hayden unit for a little more than 1/2 the Flexlight price and you'd get a piece that is much easier to dial in and can adjust to any thermostat (160, 170,180, etc) in other words...

you... "can have to ranges with infinite settings, sensors and would work with the stock setup"...

cOoL eH ?

in case somebody else is looking for one..I got the part number and ordered it from Canadian tire...its great in the winter cause all I need is to change thermostat and then change the setting with a screwdriver...I wired it so both fans turn on together

So Daz, you're telling me you could've saved me $30, cool but too late.

My question is, is this flexlight one any good?

Hey guys, are you talking about electric fans? Forgive my ignorance because i'm in a 97, but Tracey tells me not all the 3rd gens are clutch fans.

If they're electric, you should be able to wire up a manual fan switch similar to what I did in my RS, and the parts only cost me about 15 bucks at K/W surplus, or Radio Shack even.

http://members.rogers.com/ravenp/fanmod.htm

It should just be a matter of finding the lead wires to the fan, wiring up a switch and LED's and getting power and ground from the cig lighter or something like that.

I love this cheap mod for the track especially... keeps my engine at 170 even on a hot day staging, or at a stop light.

If this won't work, just ignore my ramblings

Only thing is if you forget to turn it on,and having it turn off a certain temperature keeps your motor in a certain operating range. This switch can also be wired so you can override the switch and manually turn it on..

Actually in my case, the fans still operate as normal, only now I get a cute little LED lighting up to tell me

And I can turn them on whenever I want....
