engine problem

I got a small problem, i wonder if any of you guys would have an idea. Car runs fine when driving normal. When i punch it at high speed it seems to stutter. I have a feeling that it might be an electrical problem. A buddy was looking at it for me and he burnt his finger when he touched one the spark plug wires. It was resting on a header. Is it possible that the heat could of damaged the wire or maybe it just needs an injector cleaning....

Thanks

Yes it sounds like you have burnt the wire on the header, its probably arcing on the header now. So change the wire and that should solve your problem. Also make sure the other wires are away from the headers, or you will lose spark to others too.

what they said and try twist tying or wire looming them to something solid and away and fibreglass boots should prevent it from happening again.

well was talking to a few fellow board members tonight. They seem to think it might be the fuel pump. That its not giving the engine enough gas at full throttle

If a wire was cooking on the header then it's gonna be shot notwithstanding any other problems you may have with the fuel pump or whatever so you should probably change out that wire and go from there.
