Hey Luva350. It sounds like either you brake rotors are maybe warped or finished maybe even need some new brake pads. DO you feel the brake pedal pulsating or bouncing up and down a little? If so it is time for some brake work. What ever you do , if this is the case. Get them fixed! Don't mess around with brakes. Pads and rotors aren't that expensive either. Just a matter of installing them. DO you have your own tools to do the job if so? Where are you from Luva350? Your still driving you car?

Nothing coming from the pedal. I am freaked that I just had my gears done and the fact that the rear was touched makes me think my brakes were put back wrong somehow??? Cross drilled rotors and new pads last year

Hmm.. Had your gears done??? You had new gears installled or just changed the gear oil??? If new gears were installed and not shimmed properly you can get a real bad vibration. Who did the work for you? A shop or a friend? If it was a shop take it back to them and explain the problem, if it was a friend then call them up and let them know. If you don't feel anything in the pedal then you brakes probably aren't causing the problem.... It does sound like the gears were not meshed together properly. I'm not trying to say that whom ever did it, did a bad job. Just that meshing the crown and pinion gear can be a bit troublesum at times. Just my 2 cents, but that is what it sounds like you problem is. Hope this helps cool your frustration.

Some gears make a little noise, but not what you are discribing. I would take it back just to be sure. DOn't want to ruin the new gears. No need to thank me, this is what we are all here for. Your welcome anyhow.

Cross drilled rotors tend to eat up brake pads quicker than normal. Gears will also whine if not meshed correctly and will vibrate regardless if the brake is touched. Acceleration and braking will be affected if gears are not correctly installed.

I'd check the brakes first just to be sure, a pad change may just be in order only.

Hey Slade. If the brakes were causing this then the pedal would be pulsating for sure. It is worth the look but I'm 95% sure her gears are the problem here. When ever brakes pads are in need of replacing you almost always feel something in the pedal. But hey I have been wrong before. But I don't think so this time anyway.

I learned this the hard way from experience lol

When I didn't have my gear in correctly it whined like a ghost or something, accelerating and braking...

its just a thought look at the wear pattern on the brake.. if uneven it'll do the light brake pedal pulsating... I've seen this happen on my car a bunch of times.

Mark makes a good point about the brake clips too, that'll do it as well, when the clips aren't in right or gone altogether, they will cause uneven wear causing light pedal pulsation.

Welcome to the world of modding your car!
And to think, the more you do, the more things break.
It's kinda a catch 22.

I had the opposite problem.. the less I did the more it broke!

Damn I had a nice looking paintjob though and was mint looking...

One day I said **** it and fixed everything... over a 2 year span lol

Then in that time I kinda let the appearance goto hell... but its faster and running well and my car and I have this balance thing going... money flows smoothly and evenly into car...

I have the exact problem right now,
its when you go to brake slowly
sounds like metal on metal clunking together, and when you drive its like something rubbing very lightly.
