Riding on some REALLY bad brakes! check this out

ok everyone I had to redo my brakes for a safety, becuase of course u know im trying to sell this freaking car already.

But yeah remeber I posted a while ago about how when u would go over a bump I would hear a really weird noise (like a toolbox getting thrown around) kinda sound when I hit a bump or whatever, well anyways I had someone check them out for me finally and the outcome was freaking amazing, on how I was driving on these brakes I would of never known, I felt nothing and noticed nothing different in the car, so when u hear a strange rattle from ur brakes, check them ASAP.

And the new rotor, and I bought new pads and everything, because everything was busted, I had EVERYTHING checked out agian in the front. now isnt this stupid, when I took it to a mechanic, he said everything was fine, He SHOULD of told me about my F*cking pads! That really pisses me off, that I had to find out my self of all the damage.

Yup, I had a bad squeal for a while. Took the tire off, and looked at the front pad, all was good, doh, didn't think to check the back one, that was wearing down.

who did the brakes?

did they lubricate the capliper bushings/sliders? Cause it looks like the caliper wasn't clamping evenly, hence the inside pad being chewed and the outside one still has 50% of the pad left..

If you think thats bad you should have seen the pads I took off my blazer once. I new the brakes were bad but didnt have the time or money to fix them. Well one night when heading to a friends house my brakes failed completely about 2 stops away from my house. I was able to take back streets to my friends house by not stopping and down shifting to slow down. When I got there I hit the brakes (hoping the reserve was still there), hit the parking brake, and ran into a curb stop all at the same time. Luckely it stopped or I would have gone across a sidewalk into the side of a car. When I got out the front tire was covered in break fluid. The pad was wore down so far that when I hit the brakes the piston cam all the way out and dumped the fluid. The pads were wore down past the rivits, pretty much it was just stopping with the backin plates cause the pad was all gone. That was the last time I said Ill fix it when I got the money cause a simple brake job turned into a complete rebuild of the front brakes. Sorry for the length.
