Ontario board chat room?
I think this would be a cool idea. Comsidering the amount of times we all come on(hence the post count) and we all line up like lemmings to give each other a message, I think a chat room for times when it's busy would be cool. Anybody else in on that idea?

I agree, that does sound like a good idea. Easier then waiting for a email to tell you a message has come.

That's the nice thing about MSN messenger. I can talk to someone right away, however a chat room would be o.k. too. Just a link that would take you to a room where everyone can talk at the same time. It might also clean up the board a bit, no more useless posts and if you are going to flame someone, you can do it there

thats my idea. A link in a sticky post that will bring you to the room. I would do it, but my interweb skills are horrible. I can't even find my own webspace to post pics.

They do have the thirdgen.org server using IRC in the channel #thirdgen... There's usually around 10 peep on there. Havn't seen any other ontarioans but I've only started hangin out there this week.
U can either join the chat by downloading mIRC from www.mIRC.com and joing the thirdgen.org server, channel #thirdgen or simply click on the chat room link and use java(bleh) at the thirdgen homepage. Chat rooms are good altho they will take away from the info that could be posted for all to see and read anytime in a forum.

I kinda like the board the way it is - useless posts and all - but if it works for some you to set up chat room then try it.
