Just bought my self a new muffler and pipes..
So I went to Canadian Tire and got my muffler replaced and new pipes.. Cost me $225, put it on my bros cdn tire card.
I needed to replace it, I wasent looking for something fancy, but it was totally not worth the price and time, the stock was the best way to go, funny thing is my old muffler system was different!!
The pipes were like way bigger than the ones I got now, **** it looks like a honda for **** sake! Im dissapointed but all the smells are gone now u can finally breath in my car without dieing.
Anywho..
just wanted to tell u..

yeah well I was expecting people to start telling me they can get better deals and what not.. I really dont care, its done and done.
was going to get the FLowmaster Terminator but it would take 10 days to get here.. so screw that. Plus all my pipes were all rusty and had holes in them, I never noticed it was that bad.
But ill get some tips and that will settle the quiteness of it.
so im going a little ****, what can yah do....

At least before you did this you should have consulted at the least Chris or the board...
Near Hamilton in Oakville is JPG exhaust, they have decent labour prices and have a good amount of stuff in stock.
Next time before you go running off to CT you may want to do this because we're not trying to rip anyone off here or not, just help you get the best price/performance/quality you can get.

no the thing is, I would of taken it to Zorro where i would of got a whole new setup from front to back.
But I odnt have 250 dollars cash.
I only go to Canadian Tire because I dont have to pay cash, I just stick it on my bros cdn tire card, than I pay him back after.
The stock muffler sucks my *****, but im gonna get the tailpipes with the glass pack in them, settle this quiteness i have now.

i am confused...i thought you got a new muffler?
so what exactly did you get? you said all you pipes had holes in them in? but you were said your car was for sale certified...rusted out exhaust does not pass safety.
and dont spend any money on those stupid tail pipes with resonators in them, just get a new muffler if yours is rusted out.
and dont take it to crappy tire.......have you not learned anything posting here....

As I recall the CT card is a credit card therefore you can use it anywhere... unless you have some other ct card that holds a balance and can only be used at ct which kind of strikes me a weird..

If it ment to get a new muffler and stuff I would of still done it.
Its weird I got no idea how I passed my emssions with that old muffler, but it did it!
As for the CT card, its a balance held within CT it self, its not a credit card, Its just good there, so I can go buy anything within the credit line, I had 400 bones but my next pay is only going to be around 250 dollars, so I just decided to get it all new for the 225. And frankly they did a good job, it didnt take very long, and im quite happy with my muffler, I took it out for a boot tonight, I feel a HUGE difference in the car, feels very good. ANd plus im not getting anymore of the fumes coming in the cabin anymore.
I told u guys I was going to buy a performance muffler, I checked it out first, it was going to be 350 dollars in total, screw that, im not made out of money, If I would of taken it to Zorro muffler it would of been 250 dollars from front to back performance whatever, but I dont have 250 dollars to just throw like that all at once. SLowly SLowly ok guys? Shes gonna be a nice ride, I just need more money.

Never mind, Dave. It's your car, you do as you see fit. No one else has to drive it. If you want our opinions, you'll ask for it.
LIke you said Dave, what's done is done. I believe what Slade is talking about is the CT Options Mastercard...that's the one I have and yes you can use it anywhere. I'm gonna assume the one your bro has is strictly the CT card...so you're right, it's only good at CT.
Now, Dave, Dave...I'm only a phone call away. We gotta talk about these things first!

About $40-60 for a polyurethane mount depending on where you get from and a bit of labor getting the old one off yeah, $100 may be reasonable. The only crap thing about it is if you happen to have to tranny mount bolts from hell like I did... took me and a friend on a 4 ft breaker bar to get it off... I'm surprised the head of the bolt didn't snap!!! A testament to GM's choice in bolts...
