Car: 1992 Camaro Z28 Anniversary Edition
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: Borg Warner 5-Speed
haha i think my parents car just blew up!
well i went to go start my parents car to drive to the bank.
i got in... started the car... let it idle and 10 seconds later the engine just shut off.
so i started the car again, and holy crap man i heard all these sounds coming from the engine and the rpms went SUPER ERRATIC UP AND DOWN and then it shut off.
that's when i decided to go back home. maybe i'll mention that my dad hasn't had an oil change in like 50,000 kms... this week while i was driving on the highway the engine was making a ticking sound. my dad said when he went to check the oil it was bone dry. he topped it off like 3 days ago, but today this just happened. so......................................... any ideas? car has 306,000 kms 1990 oldsmobile cutluss sierra

hmm, with that many clicks and a history of neglect the list of items that don't need to be replaced might be shorter than the list of items that need replacing. Tell dad its time for a newer set of wheels, I would recommend something with an LS1
