Not really... most small block chevys are all around the same weight. If it did weight more or less, it would be only a few pounds off of what a 350 would weigh.

No the 305 weighs less because it has less HP and torque.

Ok just kidding.

Roughly 3.76 inch bore vs. 4 inch bore means that much difference in core metal plus pistons different size. More metal in smaller bore more piston in 4 inch bore. They probably weigh within a few pounds of each other (305 vs. 350) or a few kilos for those of you born after Led Zeppelin was formed.
