Concert last night

WellI went and seen one of my favourite bands of the 80's last night.... and they were just awesome... Whitesnake is back..
A little dissapointed about David Coverdale voice but hey the guy is pretty old now days... Couldn't hit the high notes like he use to... And that is all I was there for.. Dokken and Scorpions were there to but I wasn't interested... Good show!!

It's Gerret's calling to be the new lead singer for the band "OldSnake!" A tribute to Coverdale.

Heh, I think he was referring to me, Keiran.

Stiffler: Something tells me, history isn't going to look back on that music era and collectively say "Whitesnake and Dokken ROKKED dude!" No hard feelings tho, I just felt the need to get the usual joke about hair bands and metal in.

The show was great... Dokken was good. Whitesnake was great, but not loud enough And Coverdale was singing better than I expected he'd be able to so i was impressed.

Scorpions were amazing! They haven't lost a thing I think they were the highlight for me because I had no idea what to expect... they were the most lively energetic of the bands performing

It was fun getting the old biker leather jacket out for another kick at the 80's

And regarding this board... there are too many other boards to post on... have you noticed that they all have the same members posting on them? It's like 3rdgen part II and part III.

I guess we have a few of them too...

Yeah, Bon Jovi is definitely Glam Rock.

BUT,
don'cho be talkin shieot about The Hip.
I know they're overplayed, and their later stuff is crap (some may argue that it's artful crap, but oh well), but as far as the first 15 years of their music careers go, The Hip is probably THE Canadian rock band.
I can't think of another band that is as popular here, hasn't sold out to the US, stayed true, and stuck around for more than 2 albums.

So, no, The Hip DOESN'T deserve to be in the same post as WhiteTrash, er, sorry, Whitesnake.

Ok I am not going to flame this.. because its not worth it... if you think THE HIP compares to whitesnake...your just a FOOL too...

Awwwee I can't take it... THE HIP IS SHlT...boy I can't explain how much they blow... as for selling out to the states that willl never happen because they know down there they suck... Our Lady Peace (and I hate them aswell) is a 10 000 times better of a canadian band than THE HIP...

THE HIP=CRAP....

NTChrist post something that you think you know about because music is not it...

Excuse me young man, but the HIP while having a cool PAST, will NEVER be known as THE CANADIAN ROCK band..

Perhaps you remember a certain band, went by the name of RUSH...

Saw them 3 times when I was a wee teenager/early 20... that is the best ROCK show you'll ever see.

I got a lot of respect for Rush, too. Geddy Lee is pretty cool.

To my generation, the Hip is more relevant. If you asked somebody EVEN OLDER than you Craig ( ), they might say "the Guess Who" would be THE Canadian band of all time.

I guess I should have been more specific, or at least add the caveat that a diff generation's opinion is probaby different.

Hip sucks
Rush sucks

Perhaps... and i agree about the generational thing... but i'm talking objective facts. Longevity, influence, contribution to the industry, national pride etc... Rush is still going strong... They broke through a lot of barriers and they're still selling albums, with original material after 20+ years

Anyways, nuff said about that.

Sebastian Bach? The guy can sing if you put words in front of him, but that's about it

How come nobody's mentioned Anne Murray? Or Stompin' Tom?
