Hey guys, I have a Question
I heard a rumor that a 1/4 mile track will be available in North Bay this summer. Would any of you guys be interested in spending a day two up North this year?

Hey Jordan...How's it going?? Hey Doesn't Elliot Lake have a Big race up there too?? I use to live there 15 years ago..Haven't been there since, and was thinking of maybe heading up tp the big Drag race up there this summer maybe. Here is a link to all the events up there.... http://www.rpmclassifieds.com/html/show_me.html
-might be interesting for a little race watching- but I don't think these are actual racetracks- but airport runways- so are they open to the public on these event days (i.e. evening test/tune events?).
I know these races have been going on for the last few years- but have yet to attend any of them myself- despite the fact I still have a couple of relatives up north.
As an example- I (up until 3-4 years ago) am quite familiar with the layour of Elliott Lake- and there was never a racetrack or a good place to create one unless one of the shut-down mines converted one of their surface areas into a strip of some sort (unlikely, Denison was the single biggest facility and was shut down/closed off/stripped and re-arranged by the shaft sealing activity 5-10 years ago). The only possible place I can imagine such an event there would be the airport. Also- looking at the current Elliott Lake population demographic- primarily retirees and very little economic activity otherwise, I can't see there being a "real" track ever having been built. North Bay would be a better bet for a permanent track due to an actual economy and a larger population base. Anyone know for sure if they've made a real "track"?
