Camaro Nationals Mass Gathering!! Sat. June 14th
Hey everyone, just posting this to let everyone know that members from SOGM.ca, CCFBG.com, and KWFbody.com are planning a Mass gethering for the Camaro Nationals on Saturday June 14th 2003. And hopefully mebers here from TAO will join us too. All members that are Registered with the show, us members from SOGM will be able to get togther with you all Friday night also at the Seaway Mall Cruise night here in Welland. We are trying to figrue out how many people will be joining us to figure out where to get together and to do what, and when.. Please let us know who is going to be joining us so we can figure out what to do. If the amount of people attending get too high we may have to go to a park to have a huge BBQ! James we'll need ya dude!!! LOL!

Did you vote?? We will need a general head count so we know what we are going to do overall. Or are you registered for the actaul show?? I have copied this from SOGM and pasted it here, CCFBG and KWFbody.
I am awaiting a email return from Pacer (Ron) he is a contributing member of the organization that holds the Camaro Nationals. If we do get enough people together for the Mass gathering, and if the Camaro Nationals Cruise on Saturday the 14th still goes through Dufferin Islands in Niagara Falls, that this would be a perfect place for us to meet and watch the cars drive through etc. Depending on the time of the cruise, and the amount of people we have, we can have our BBQ right there at Dufferin Islands. Great photo opps for everyone, and group/club photos. Now none of this is concrete yet, except the fact we are getting together on this date for the Mass gathering between our clubs. Thanks for listening! This will be a great time for all!!! Just have to get it organized now.

Cool! Alot of the cars that are registered for the show won't be able to meet up with our group till after 5:00pmish. WE hope to start the gathering earlier, like around 12:00 noon. We will make sure that all registrants are informed of where we will be, and when etc. The # of people gathering with us is starting to build now, this is going to be a great get together, so come one come all. Please don't mis out...

It seems I have confused some people. This gathering doesn't require you to be driving a F body of any sort. you can be driving anything, Monte, Cutlass, Cavalier, S10, Sunfire etc. This is just a gathering for friends and car enthusiasts. So don't let a type of car/ truck for that matter hold ya back.

Beign that the cruise through DUfferin is around 5:00-5:30, I am not sure really. I don't want to interfear with the Nationals events, but I am not sure what you all do after the Cruise. After that people in the show could meet up with us all.

Cool Iroc. I don't want to interfear with tehe Nationals program, this is more for those not entering or ntogoing to the banquet. We may have to move our location soon after teh Nationals cruise goes through Dufferin Isalnds if too many carsa show up, if that is the case we will move teh Queenston Heights, but we will not do this till after the cruise goes through so that we can notify anyone form the show that wants to join us. I am sure we won't miss you, and you most likely won't miss us either. See ya then.

June is upon us, and this is only 2 weeks away, so we need to knwo now if your coming so we can acccomidate everyone. But it appears that only 3 of you all here are coming. Please dont' wait till the last minute to let us knwo. We need to know, no later then the 4th of June. Please if you are coming and have some sort of Habachi or small BBQ ( James ) could you bring it out? Oh and brign some food to BBQ to.

Ok we are here..Only 2 day to go for the Nationals themselves, and 3 for our Mass gathering. Hopefully the weather man is wrong as they are calling for some showers Friday, which is our Cruise night at the Seaway Mall in Welland. The Camarao Nationals Particapants will be joing us at the Mall weather pending. Remember this is a Pot Luck gathering on Satuday at Dufferin Islands in Niagara Falls. So please try to bring a little something, Pop, condoments, chips etc etc. Oh maybe a cooler and ice for drinks. NO ALCOHOL PLEASE Or we won't be welcomed back next year. If anyone has a nice hibatchi or some BBQ's to bring that would be great too... any little bit will help. I am bringing my BBQ but I don't think this little thing will cut it for around 20 to 30 people... Or maybe more?????

i have been told by numerous people that the roads in the falls arent the greatest...so i will have some problems with the lowness of my car...do i have to worry or should i just not go for the cruise??
im in the nationals either way..and i would like to go for the cruise..but not at the expense of ripping any of my custom body kit off...i sit about 1 inch off the ground at the highest point..

Dude you should see how low some of the R i c ers are in the Falls, just take it easy and keep your eyes open. It's no worse then anywhere else I have driven. I go to the Falls quite often, being only 15 minutes away. But mind you 1" is not alot of clearance, but if you can drive it here, you should be fine for the cruise, just be carefull. Being that you have all this money in the car, why would you not have gotten a air ride system to hop the car up a inch or two for driving purposes??

i dont think its gonna be a prob now because i have since put some different springs on..and the lowest part is now my y pipe for my headers...
but i will take my time when i get there...as i always do anyways..

Well alot of the particapant of the Nationals that are not going to the banquet, won't get to Dufferin till around 5:30. We'll hang out there for a fair while I would think, probably till dark, so most likely around 8:30- 9:00pm. Coming down Scott??

I'm staying at the Sheraton Four Points right in Niagra falls from Friday till SUnday - and will be over at the show on Saturday for sure.
If the weather is good I'll be down at the cruise on Friday too.
Probably be the only GTA there.
I'm hoping to bring the GTA. We'll see how the weather is on Friday afternoon/evening. Weekend weather is supposed to be great though.

At first I was worried about the Cruise to Welland tomarrow night, but it may clear up, hope it does. But we have to bear with Mother Nature. But yeah Saturday and Sunday look to be great!

Well I am sure that even if we leave dufferin islands around 9:00ish that others will be going to a bar or a pool hall or something, I am up for it anyway, anyone else?? Obviously there is going to be alot of people down in the falls by the sound of it.

Well the overcast scared alot of the Camaro Nationals particapants from coming to the Mall tonight, but about 30 Hard cores made it out. No rain at all mind you. :? :wink: Ron (Pacer) was out..good to see you again Ron! Rich ( LS1 Zedder) from KWF was out. Him and I went to Swiss Chalet for a some chicken and beer, great guy! Nice meeting you Rich! Had some great conversations. 
We will hang alot tomarrow I am sure. The weather is going to be great all weekend, so come on down and lets have a great time!

It is at the Sheraton Hotel right by Brock University. In Thorold actaully.
Take the 406 south from the QEW, then about 10 minutes on the 406 take the "St. Davids" exit, "West" Follow that down to the lights by the University and it is the Hotel on your Left if I remeber right. I will PM you my cell # so you can call if you have any troubles. What time do you plan on coming around??

From the Toronto / Hamilton area:
Take the QEW Highway towards Niagara Falls. Take the exit for Highway 406 South. Stay on 406 until you come to the exit for St. Davids Road West. Turn left at the second set of traffic lights, onto Schmon Parkway. Turn left into driveway for Four Points Sheraton Suites.
From Detroit / London area:
Take Highway 401 East to Highway 403. Take Highway 403 to QEW Highway towards Niagara Falls. Take the exit for Highway 406 South. Stay on 406 until you come to the exit for St. Davids Road West.
