Are there any plans for fall gathering? Since everyone has split off into a bunch of little groups it's hard to keep track, lol. Would anybody be up for a little meet sometime this September or October?

TMP is over a 3 hour drive for me and Sparta is about 2.5hours Grand Bend is just barly under 2hours from me so thats most convienient. Kinda suxors

 

we should set a date and a place asap and stick with it!!!!!!!

As the people from Ottawa area probably have to drive the furthest make it somewhere that they can get to with the least aggravation.

I agree with trigger......sombody make a decision and lets stick with it otherwise we will be be "planning" this for weeks and all the tracks will be closed by the time we make a decision.

I say 3rd weekend in Sepember at TMP.

Maybe run a poll to get an idea of the best dates - only leave it open for 10 days or so and then that's it.

 

I vote for October @ Sparta or even better Grand Bend.

 

Well I did some research for Acceld here, and people that may come from the Ottawa area.

TMP is the closest with a 6 hr and 13 minute drive. Not great shade wise, but one of the best track surfaces around. VHT used.



Sparta (St Thomas) is second with a 6 hr and 50 minute drive, but the track sucks this year from what everyone is saying. Heard from many people that it is a bad track this year, more so past the 1/8 mile.




Grand Bend is the furthest away with a 7hr and 26 minute drive. Havent' been here in awhile, but it is a decent facilty, just a long drive from Ottawa.




My vote will stand at TMP for sure, as of course it is close to me But I know for a fact the traction is great here this year.

 

anywhere but grand bend...thats a really far trek for me as is all the drag strips but grand bend is alot further then the others..

Set a decent date and Paul and I will try and get the cars back together and running, if not, we'd have to take the trucks.

set the date gentlemen, and i am in. TMP sounds like a great place and it is the closest for the ottawa crew, so lets go there.

 

I was just checking TMP's site. The only weekend that appears to be taken is Saturday September 7th. Everyone will definately want to get there around 10am when the track opens, more so Paul and Dave, so they can hang for the day. And most of us know that the Time Trails end at 4pm. I am up for TMP on which ever date is decided.

Paul and Dave... are both your cars good to go, or do you need some more time to get them ready? I personnely will not be running, but I will definately come up to meet you guys for sure.

 

I could swear we had a meet last year in October, no? Or was that September. You, Kaz brought his car(minor problems)and we BBQ'ed.

Anyway, why not an October date? This way everyone has over a month to prepare their cars and join the fun. Besides, alot of guys have been really quite around here and I'm curious to see what they've been up too!

I hope it's a cold day because my little 305 TPI is going to need all the cold air intake to crack 15.1!!!!!!!!!!!

October sounds good too, I just posted the September 7th bit so that we plan around it as we will not be able to do it then.... I agree October would be good, due to the fact it will give others more time to prepare.

 

yes, give us time to prepare as I just got a summit catalog and they're having a big sale and I just got my credit card limit raised

 

I'm only about 5 hours from having a running thirdgen again. And it may even run close to properly with the new injectors, AFPR and chip. But I doubt it, lol. Anyways, I don't care if we have it at TMP or Sparta. I had a great time at Sparta even without having any traction. I'll probably come up the friday night and stay the weekend in some cheap motel.

no it was the weekend of the sept 22 i know that because i have ticket to a nascar race every year and it was on the same weekend so i missed it.

i also have tickets to a night race in NC on oct 11


so as long as the dates picked are not on the above. nothing will stop me from going.
