well i have done it i finally started gathering the parts to finish my car. Today i ordered the hooker 2055's for my car, i also have recieved my wonder bar to put on my car. I have a couple of questions though, has any one had any experience with aluminum header gaskets, i want to put these headers on and never have them leak, also what type of paint should i use to paint the motor of my car, i dont want to take it out but i will if necessary. The one part left to do under the hood is to replace the motor mounts, the motor seems to sit crooked in the car it looks like the passenger side sits about 1" lower than the drivers side. How hard are the motor mounts to replace in these things anyways?

Hey Mike. sounds good what you have so far. I personally like copper gaskets for the headers, as for the motor mounts... They can be a bit of a PITA sometimes. Lube the nut and bolt well before trying to remove them. For engine paint... Duplicolour makes some really great high temp paint, and they also have a high heat ceramic clear coat that works great. Most local Walmart store sell this paint now.

if you mean the gaskets that look like a bunch of layers of foil sort of crimped together, i used them on my 2055's and they're sweet. they're also reuseable if you intend a swap or something in the future....

I've had those fatass aluminum gaskets with my hedmans for almost three years and no leaks. There may be better ways to go about it but the aluminum ones worked for me - I don't think I'd use them over again though - too much BS to put up with if they didn't seal properly the second time - just buy new ones - less aggro.
