argh what a stupid law, our cars look so much better without front plates!

 

Honestly, I think the 'birds (with the GFX) look better with the front plates. Without them the nose just looks big and ugly, rather unfinished.

 

I didnt have one on my old 88 Iroc, and I got the ticket for it too

 

i'm not running a front plate right now

i have it in the back seat...

incase a cop pulls me over, i'm going to say that i just got some bodywork done on the front end and got a new grill put on that doesn't have holes drilled, and that the shop would drill the new grill in this week...

that would buy me some time and get me out of a ticket

 

I wasn't but I am now. I got pulled over on end of last year and got a warning, so I did what I was told. Not worth the ticket.

 

my billit grill doesnt have the mounts to mount one on the front tear...

not from canada but i dont get any crap about it just a lil helpful info if i get pulled over
just stuff like u should take it off your front windsheild so it doesnt fly threw your head if u wreck......

 

Everyone of the cars i've ever driven including my Z28, i havn't had a front liscence plate. Believe me, i get pulled over for plenty of other reasons including but not limited to: Speeding, Speeding, Speeding, and did i mention speeding?! The only other time i've been pulled over was for exhibition of speed, and not having a plate on the BACK of the car :P that one's important!

When a cop asks me if i know how fast i was going i usually say "You know what? I dont. My tac only goes up to 85 and that needle was BURIED!"

 

just a lil hint from your friendly neighbourhood police officer in training...

you dont "need" to have it on your front as long as its visiable on your car... ie..

in the windshield...although it MUST be on the drivers side, NOT passenger side.. and the police are being really **** about it because they are trying to get it changed (the law) so that they cant do a check on your car when you are following them

so..to prevent a ticket....mount it somewhere on your front skirt..itll save you the bs from a rookie that doesnt know what hes talking about

and in answer to the original question..

i dont have it mounted...its in my windshield on the drivers side ...
but they dont bug me for that...they are too busy trying to decide if my car is street legal and emissionable!!
