Coolign question....fan not comming on?
Question for you guys. Earlier today I decided to toss my smog pump and all the AIR lines back on the car and make them functional again since I hear the "smog police" are making their rounds again (shouldnt have touched them in the first place)
Everything went on as i would expect....BUT....the car is running hot and the fan isnt comming on....Coincidence????? It was fine before doing the work earlier today...any suggestions on what to check out????
Thanks,
Dave

dave,
there is a little black "BOX" (like a fusiable link) that is almost right beside the battery on the pass side (almost near the headlights on the inside of the motor compartment) youll see it..
when i took all my emission crap off my fan didnt work and it was cuz of that box.. i went to a few scrappers and couldnt find any...so..i just toggled the fan and now i can turn it on and off whenever i want...maybe you should do something like that...save you time and effort in the long run..
hope this helps

Try grounding the coolant temp. switch wire and see if the fan comes on. Then you'll know if it's the switch or the relay. Odds are the fans are fine.
