Don't know where to tell you locally. Most scrap yards want to sell a whole engine, not just heads.

I'd try boards like here, camaroz28.com ect.

try ebay. I got a set for about $400 Canadian after shipping. Can also keep an eye on the TriAd and Buy and Sell if you want to get a set locally.

Kevin,
I too have been looking through the ebay pages - but I am afraid to bid on something so expensive, especially if the heads come to me cracked etc...etc.. I would be pritty pissed if the items were not packaged well and the mailman 'dropped' the item- I guess you have to take a chance sometime. Besides, for a part(s) like this, I try to stay local/Ontario, to help keep our shops alive - too much is getting farmed out these days, it's no wonder our hobby is getting more and more difficult to enjoy....here in Canada/Ontario
For $400.00 bones were those heads ready to go? or do/did you still need to send them out?

A bit off topic guys, but what is all the controversy about the #906 vrs the #062 castings? The only difference that I am aware of is the application years for the #062 - '98 and up where as the #906's were out earlier - '96? What gives?
Same valve size, weight, chamber size etc...
TIA
Andrew

I need to change the valve springs to fit my application, but if i was using a flat tappet cam, i could run them as is.

I'd try and find a set of 062's. I've heard some of the early 906's had a different valve seat or something to that effect, and are not as efficent as the later ones. The later 906's are fine to use though.
