Where can I get an alum. Drive Shaft??

Hey guys, anyone have a good source for an LS1/LT1/1LE Drive Shaft? I was going to order from Spohn, but it will take a while. Iwill buy aftermarket aswell, just want to find something in the Ottawa area!

Not in Ottawa, but, LPE.

Btw, I take it you've decided to keep the car?
Nice call, it's a sweet car.

I'm not positive, but I think Bear's performance in Windsor can do it.

Ya, I'm gonna keep it for now. Spohn has chromoly DS's for $340.00. I wonder if that is as good as aluminum for vibration?

Well I'm in Richmond Hill which is part of the GTA. THe shaft is out of my car I just replaced it with a 1200 horse nitrous rated shaft w 1350 joints, billet yoke etc etc.

As a result I have the most perfect and strong box to ship it in too

Sorry, I thought you said you bought one for $130. I am interested, but I am not sure if the 1LE shaft will be strong enough? I will let you know by Tomm.!! I will have to find a friend to use pay pal, or I could send a money order?

Re: Where can I get an alum. Drive Shaft??

Ahh I see I wondered for a minute there. As for strength? Someguys have had great luck with them taking them into the tens behind autos in LS1 cars. I'm running a t56 but the real kicker is the 8.8 hybrid rear I have. In order to adapt the stock shaft you have to use a 1310 companion flange which is el crappo to say the least so I wanted to upgrade the pinion yoke on my rear and the best way and cheapest too was to buy a billet 1350 series yoke from Moser. I also wanted to have the ability of worry free 6k clutch dumps on slicks so I bought a new drive shaft for insurance purposes. I'll PM you a link to the shaft I bought if you want to upgrade to a serious shaft its the best deal out there.

I'm also planning on selling my LS1 shaft for the same reasons. (T56 with drag radials = abuse)..just need a replacement first. It is in perfect shape, with about 10K on it.
