hey guys... got the car all together but i am just wondering how many guys or shops are in the area that tune tpi [maf] setups.. i need a tune asap.

there is a very reputable guy [HAWK] on ccfbg but i would just like to get an idea if there is someone who can dyno the car with a wideband and get me set up.

You could try .. Redline Firestone .. on McCowan, just east of sheppard.
I have been taking my 'Z' there for 8 years & they are the only ones I trust to work on my ride. They have a performance garage w/a dyno.

Redline brought in some guys from another shop. Not the same service as it used to be.

I've hear nothing but great things about Hawk and his work from other members.

You could try D and L Motorsports. They are in Burlington. I haven't used them (yet) but them seem to know their stuff after talking with them.

 

DL Motorsports in Burlington by Leons I think, its on the north service rd.
They dynoed a co-worker of mines crx custom turbo, helped him tweek his car to max potential.
I know other shop mechanics recommend DL for any stock to crazy custom setups to get them running as good as it can otherwise would recommend whats best for your setup.

I've taken my car to DL about half a dozen times. After spending about $1000 on tunes without much success, they told me that I had a bad distributor. Which would've been obvious if they'd looked everything over in the first place. I don't know if they were dinking me around, because they definitely know their ****, and Mike the owner has a bad *** 3rd gen T/A. It took them forever to figure out how to tune TPI, too. Literally had to leave my computer there for 6 months. Less than impressed with the results so far.

I reccomend Modfathers performance in Orillia. Great guys, Scott is the guy to talk to. He builds and tunes engines, everything from performance 4 bangers, to blown big blocks running alcohol. One of his build has even gone to salt lake city for the land speed racing. He is currently working on a Supercharged bigblock in a 1989 cavalier...Street Legal!!! He also does big work on racing sleds and boats.

There are people around that can do tunes as well, just not dyno (which is over-rated IMO), and do it with you in the car, so you can be involved.

 

Looking to get an eprom chip modified to run bigger injectors on a 305tpi... anyone know of a place around the kw area???

Well I cant seem to find a legit phone number for these guys.... Trigger, i wouldn't even begin to know where to start on the self burned chip... nor do i have the equiptment... im not even sure if this is what i need. Replaced the injectors with the ford 19lb/hr injectors... now car seems to run pig rich(have to ease throttle to get off a light or it just dies... if you keep your foot into it it seems to wake up at 4000 rpm and will spin going into 2nd!) i have heard that the ford injectors run more like a 22-23lb/hr injector with our fuel pressure??? car is bone stock except for the drop in k&n filters. Perhaps you could pass by and have a look? im in the cambridge area.
