Re: header coating
Thought I'd post the response from Fireball Coatings.
"Kevin
The cost to coat a big block set of headers is mid-size $275.00- full length $325.00. That price includes all prep required in any standard ceramic finish coated inside and outside.
Turn around is within a week. We can pick them up and ship them back for $30.00 each way. Just call or email to arrange.
We also have a toronto drop off location at 1814 Drew Rd. That is 407 and Dixie area. Here is a map / link for the Toronto drop off location. If you drop it there.....let me know and I will send the truck to pick them up.

Re: header coating
I'll be using these guys for my headers. I'm tired of doing it myself only to have them look like areshole once spring comes. If you don't cure them when you paint them, the coating comes off anyway.

Re: header coating
I've heard that high temp paint (like bbq or woodstove paint) can be effective however I don't think it can compete with a ceramic coating. Ceramic not only has an excellent appearance, it also helps to keep the heat in the header where it belongs.

Re: header coating
Well what I wasn't told about Fireball is the stripping of any paint/rust on the headers before the coating process can begin. So that's an extra cost. Mine will be brand new so...

Fireball had this to say...
"The cost to coat a big block set of headers is mid-size $275.00- full length $325.00. That price includes all prep required in any standard ceramic finish coated inside and outside."
Mine have a season of rust on them see they'll need the prep work.

Re: header coating
Not that it's close for some of you guys and a bit off topic but if your looking for powder coating, try ABC Electro Powdercoating in Port Hope. They did my valve covers in gloss black and my TPI plenum, Runners, and dizzy cover in a dark gray for 150.00 cash. One week turn around, great service and a year later everything still looks awesome.
