Sub-Frame Connectors

Does anyone know of a shop in the Mississauga or Toronto area that would weld in subframe connectors?

Re: Sub-Frame Connectors

I am in the same boat, looking for a place to install my UMI sub frames, also what is a fair price to have theses installed ? I've heard mixed reviews about Master Performance, not sure if I should go there?

Re: Sub-Frame Connectors

I had my hartops SFC's welded on at Master Performance. I too had heard the mixed reviews but thought I would give them a shot.... and brought me in a couple times to show me the progress/what they were doing which I appreciated etc...

All in all I was very happy and would have no issues taking my car there again.

CSC Racing in Newmarket can do it. If you do not have the parts they can build something custom also.

I called CSC a few mos back, spoke to Ralph about it and they do not have a four post lift which almost all SFC manufactures reccomend for installation

Sinister (aka Nikko) who is a member here and on CCFBG just opened a shop in Pickering with the old owner of Straight Line Racing.

I know he is in the process of getting a post lift to do sfc installs.

Give him a call - Straight-Line II Perfomance Automotive 905.649.1118

Re: Sub-Frame Connectors

I think I'm gonna go check out Straight-Line II, or Jason Parker, definitely not Master Performance, as I've heard that they cut the rear of the sub frame connector where it bolts to the rear control arm (using UMI product), the person that told me this they did it on his friends car also!

yea I dont understand why they would do this, wouldnt it be easier to just bolt it on properly?, I also think they didn't/don't install the little piece that goes on the passenger side.

Auto dream Group did them exactly like shown on the Spohn Web site , on a 4 wheel lift hoist ,there Shop is amazing spotless ,all painted floors neat as a pin , you could also try a muffler shop ,a local one gave me a price of $200.00 but they wanted the carpet out completly, and said exhaust might have to come off which would be an extra (you know that it would be when they say might ) Just seeing the Auto Dream shop and the classic restored cars in there made me feel that they would respect my old 88 iroc .

Hey ! Just wondered if you considered talking to any local body shops, I would think they could be a good bet if they can handle frame work ties should be an easy job.

I have a set of UMI SFC's I need to get installed in the spring.

Going to give Straight Line II a try. They are now open and have a drive on lift ordered.

Re: Sub-Frame Connectors

I already have the SFC's sitting in my basement...with a few other suspension pieces I've been collecting

I should have the car ready for about June as the motor and tranny still need to go in. Thankfully my mechanic is in West Hill so not too far from Straight Line II.

Haven't asked Nikko or Andy for a price. but as they are having an open house in April I'll get pricing then.
