Finally got a pic
Ya that metal t-top divider IROCKER.Looks alot better than my old one for sure.Still needs one more top coat, then have to find out where to lay the bead of adhesive for the weatherstripping.Any ideas?Pic was taked in Dec when i bought it.Now it's still nice and cozy in the garage waiting to bust out of jail.
Just remember what I mentioned to ya, put down more sealant than you think is gonna be necessary, go very liberal on it. And make sure the parts at the very front and very back of it are sealed very well as this is where water has a tendany of getting in.
Nice car Ski Doo
I think i may have seen one just like it not too long ago.
Problem is i dont remeber where the **** it was
Funny, u mentioning your T-Top divider
mine is toast too
gotta find another one somewhere

nice car skidoo68
Is it as clean as it looks in the pic ?!? Nice, nice IROC man. It's an '85 right ? That is my favourite year. One day when I have the garage space I am going to pick up an '85 hardtop IROC (maybe I'll start a 3rd gen f-body collection) to go with my Formula.
I am on the road again as of tomorrow (saturday). Are you doing any work on your car this weekend ?

Ya there is a few minor flaws palric.Something that comes with age and previous owners that smoke with muddy work boots on.They all can be fixed and cleaned though. Orginal body and paint for an 85 still shows very well.Congrats on getting the car back together and going out for a rip, probally still grinning huh.

This might help:
For the interior I use PROSOLVE carpet shampoo. I've tried a few shampoos and this works the best. I have applied it about 4 times now and you'll have to check out my carpets for yourself to see what you think.
Last summer I clay bar'd the entire painted exterior surface then applied a gajillion coats of carnauba wax. You'll have to check out the finish as well to see what you think. I highly recommend the clay bar and carnauba expecially for non-metallic finishes like your IROC -- the clay bar will really bring it back to life (assuming you have not done this already ?).
Let me know when you are back on the road and we can meet up for a Tim Hortons.

Which Prosolve did you use palric?Canadian Tire has 2,can of foam or squirt bottle. One also is spot and stains, the other general purpose.Probally simular.Ya we have the carbed HO motor and cats still on.Which clay did you use,Mothers? Can't believe the snow, stored the Ski-doo already.Should be gone tomorrow anyways.

The Prosolve is the foam spot remover. Powerful stuff but it straightens out black carpets which is what I have.
I used Mothers clay which comes with the spray on lube. It really worked great and with the carnauba wax comes out well. Thumbs up from me.
Oh yeah, GM sells silicon in a can for the rubber weatherstripping for about $4 a piece. I cake the weatherstripping with this and Vaseline which really helps - especially on t-roofs and the trunklid.
How did you do on the emissions test ?
RP.
Got some of the silicone stuff from GM as per you.Going for safety/emmisions on Friday weather permitting.Still have metal divider out from t-tops so i'm hoping for a dry day. I have some finishing to do there as well as weatherstripping adhesive work.Going to do some road running with the sled.Maybe fly on by some of those ***** dudes.Probally pick up my son from school in St Jacobs on the sled. He'll be surprised.Ltr.
