Chip Question

Anyone out there know of any companies that can remove the EGR Diagnostic which usually appears as code 32. I'm always havng problems with this code and i heard somewhere that it can be removed or something can be done so the code will not be thrown.

First measure the voltages involved with a DMM (I believe they are both 5Vdc). If all is OK disconnect the EGR Temperature switch feedback wire from the switch and jumper it to the EGR Solenoid command wire. This will let the ECM see the correct feedback when, and only when, it commands the EGR On. That should cure the code issue.

If no code within a minute or two after startup, take the car out onto the interstate and drive it at a steady speed for over 2minutes above 2,000rpm to check it out.

Of course you could always R&R the EGR system.
