Please Look Inside....L98 Intake ???s

I will be working on the Intake part now. I would like to know the best and cheapest way. I was thinkin of SLP runners, port match the plenum with the runners. As far as base goes what are my options that will bolt up and arent to costworthy? I know the stock one will work but i think we all know its useless crap :-) I just dynod my car and i got 235rwhp and 338rwtq. I noticed my TPI really dies up top. Please advise,

Thanks in advance,

Jesse

Edelbrock base with semi-siamesed SLP runners

Or siamese your stock base for free(ish)

Depends what your goals and budget are. A siamesed and ported stock base with stock runners should be a pretty good match for stock heads/cam. A siamesed aftermarket base with stock runners would be my next step. Or siamesed aftermarket base and some AS&M LTRs for the ultimate in 'stock appearing' *** whoopin' power. And this is just assuming you want to stay stock appearing...
Keep in mind though that until you are into the heads and cam your $$$/HP ratio will suck just sinking the money into intake components.

Im not on the CHEAPEST of budgets. I was flippin through a magazine and saw a kit from edelbrock that if i remembered right was heads, cam, base and runners for like $18XX would that be a decent deal? It says over 400hp on 350. That would almost seem like the way to go. I have just heard that the edelbrock runners arent the best. Was i misinformed???

scratch that, its a kit with heads, runners, and intake base. It said with this kit plus a cam and exhaust ect... it should be over 400+HP. Im really not lookin to change heads. i would like low 13's mabey a high 12. Right now im at a berst of a 13.99 @97MPH with a 1.9 60' What exactly would i have to do to obtaine these goals??

12's without new heads is a long shot

but possible...

I'd say since you have money get the edelbrock base and open it up, get the slp runners and open them up, maybe a 52mm tb, a cam, and some suspension work.

Or look at the Stealth ram

I'd run something like the LT4 hot cam (or something similar in specs, maybe even a bit smaller) with either a siamesed base (to stay stock looking) or a stealth ram (to get the most of your $$$/HP) if i was trying for low low 13s on stock unported heads. And i'd run a nice TC. If using the siamesed base, i'd look at results before worrying about runners, my WAG is that a siamesed base won't need runners unitl you are moving serious air, which you will never do with stock heads. You'd definitely get more with a converter than with runners...
