Retainer clip for LT4 26lb injectors..???
Hi..want to put these 26lb LT4 injectors on my 88 formula 350 fuel rail and.....the retainer clips off the original 22lb injectors won't clip onto the new injectors. The new ones don't have a groove all of the way around them like the originals.
Called the GM dealer..wants $35.00 for the injector installation kit which includes ??? these clips.
Almost considered buying new accel or SVO injectors if I'm going to be out $35.00 anyway.
Any help / suggestions out there???? Might try a junkyard tomorrow..but there aren't too many in town here.
Thanks in advance!

First off, LT1s use 24# injectors (except '93, those were 22#) Second, most people I have seen don't even use the retainer clips when swapping injectors. The fuel rail is bolted down, so they aren't going anywhere. The only problem is next time you pull the rail off, some of the injectors will stay in the intake, spilling fuel all over the place. Good luck!!

LT-4...not LT-1...ooops
I had a brain cramp...they are from an LT-4. I'm hesitant to omit the retainer clips.
Thanks for the replies.

I believe LT-4 was a 400SBC, if they were still using dashes in 1976. Can't remember any injectors on them, but some Q-jets had annoying barometric equipment that year
So... got the PN for the injector kit?

I'm going to edit out the dashes

These are LS1 type injectors part # 12554271. I'm just going to order a set of ACCEL 24lb injectors from summit.
I was tempted to take a dremel to these but with my luck I'd cut'em in half and half a pile of expensive junk.
Going to put them back on Ebay. I paid $150.00 for them (5k miles on them as I recall the ad said.) Maybe I'll get out of this without losing too much.
Thanks for all the input.
