which way do you guys install your filters? i have k&n's and i usually have them in so the folds run the same direction as the car, how about you guys?

I know its a stupid question, but i cleaned mine today with the k&N cleaner stuff, man that works good i hade no idea they were actually that dirty, like a pound of sand washed down my drain.

well seeing that i have the modded airbox it don't matter....but with stock box i ran them with the line perpendicular to the car...the air comes in from the sides of the box so i put the filters in so that the lines would act like channels allowing the air to get to more of the filter faster.... otherwise it hits the first fin(line) and can create more turbulance....it is not like it matters i just thought about it for 30 sec or so before i put them in.

Well, mine are in like 1bad350 did his, but now that camaro6spd said that, mine might be changing soon. I didn't know it pulled in from the sides, but I've never really looked hard either How long has it been before you washed them or since you've washed them last? Just wonderin...

Well, you have to assume one way is better than the other, probably by about .0000000001 HP. Just to be safe, I put one in each way.
