i need someones help about my runners

i just started taking off the driver side runner today and so far i've taken out 6 bolts. i see 2 other bolts at the bottom between the 1st and 2nd runner and then between the 3rd adn 4th runner. i have to buy a torx screwdriver before i get those(the torx socket won't fit with the valve covers on) so after i get those 2 off will the runner be able to come off? or are there other bolts i haven't found yet? please tell me where if there are cause i looked all over for other bolts and didn't find any. i really want to be able to get both runners off before the weekend so any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

There are two bolts the come in from the back side of the runners. Once you have the plenum off look back by the distributor and one up front of the block. You'll need an extension on the ratchet to reach them. Don't force the runners. Once all bolts are off they should almost fall off.

now to get the plenum off, do i have to unbolt anything else besides the bolts connecting at the top of the runners to the plenum? i know i have to disconnect the throttle cable, but where (if any) are the other bolts that keep the plenum on? thanks for you help.

As far as bolts on mine there were just the 8 bolts at the runners. There were a handful of vacuum lines, and my MAT sensor though.

Just the four bolts on each side. Keep in mind there is a vacuum line under the tb if you leave that on. Plus the vacuum line for the brake booster.

Just lay the plenum over the left (driver side) valve cover until you're ready to put it back together, unless your're porting you're plenum, which isn't a good idea unless you have high flow runners.

To get the lower runner bolts out a thin 3/8 Torx socket with swivel from Sears works well; a friend even has a thin 1/4" Torx socket. A magnitic wand will help extracting the bolts and even in starting them under there.

I have used a Hex key on those two inner Torx runner bolts (on left rear and one right front).

You will need a 10mm open end wrench to get the cable bracket off the plenum. Get one with a good 6-pt box at the other end if possible, it will come in handy.
