Are you going to upgrade the TPI at all, that will be a restiction and cost power. But, of course, just use yellow stickers to make up for that, since yellow produces twice the power of any other sticker.

With a stock TPI the car may slow down. The dart haeds have 200cc runners which is not great for low end torque. The heads are better at high rpms which a stock TPI cant take advantage of.

It is a 87 350. I was getting the tpis big mouth manifold, slp runners, adn 58mm tb, which are the best heads for this motor.

Most TPI guys like the AFR 190's. I have them and they are great.
I don't know about the Dart II's on a TPI motor. If anyone out there has done it let us know.

The AFR's are a quite a bit better head than the darts for the tpi due to smaller ports and greater velocity. Dunno if the darts come with the right bolt patern either, if you have an 87 it'll have the 2 center bolts on each side of the intake at a different angle. The afr's are available with this, dunno bout the dart's.

On a 350 the right combo of heads, cam, exhaust and mild intake work should be worth 90-100hp. Don't forget to do cooling and upgrade the ignition.

I've added 60hp to my L98 without touching heads, cam or headers, so there is potential in there.

BTW, I would go with a 52mm TB instead of the 58mm. You may have tip in problems with that large a unit and 350/355 CID. It would be ok with a 383, etc.

Of course I'm partial to the Vette #113 heads pocket ported!

Afr 190s are made by Air Flow Research. You can look on http://www.airflowresearch.com/ for more info and prices. They are pretty expensive heads though.
