AFPR Install
So I finally got my TPIS AFPR the other day in the mail and all it is is the cover plate with a screw in it and a little circle plate. Seems pretty easy to install. My question is do I install the regulator with the screw all the way in or out? TIA guys

it didn't come with instructions!?!?!?!
My HOLLEY instructions advise leaving the cap off for ease during installation. Then srew the cap on after it is installed.
If the TPIS screw doesn't come out, I would suggest unscrew it as far as you can, so you don't have to worry about screwing on the housing with the spring compressed a lot.

go get a gauge bfore you install in and check your fuel pressure before you change the regulator. this will give you a starting point. i backed the screw all the way up and then once installed i screwed it back down until it hit the diaphram(circle plate). this should put you pretty close to stock pressure.

this is the correct way to install it.....
1)relieve the pressure in the system. take off the gas cap and release the pressure out of the rails
2)then take off the plenum
3)take off the old regulator screws
4)try to catch the gas that comes out of it. Also be careful when removing the stock hat because you reuse the orange rubber gasket....if you damage it the regulator will keak and you'll need a new one
5)put the little metal circle under the hat/on top of the spring
6)put the hat on and attach the 10 or so torx screws WITHOUT the screw in the hat screwed in
7)after the hat is securely installed look in the hole with a light and make sure the little metal circle is flat
8)begin to install the screw in the hat.....once you notice pressure to turn the screw the spring is going to start depressing
9)you should turn the screw a FULL 4 360* rotations once you encounter the spring pressure
10)re install plenum and remember to hook up the vacuum lines
11)turn the ignition on but DONT START IT.....let the system build pressure and make sure there isn't a leak. you can also just "crank" the motor a bit to see if it leaks
12) once you see there is no leaks......start the car and make sure you have a fuel pressure gauge installed
13)pressure should be around 44psi with the vacuum line to the regulator disconnected and PLUGGED.
TROUBLESHOOTING
if the car doesn't want to stay running or you need to give it gas to keep it running, the pressure is too low and you need to turn the screw in more

Thanks a lot for the info. Now the problem I'm running into is how to get the old regulator off. My T10 wont fit on it cuz of the little post in the middle of the screw. What tool do I need and where can I find it?

the AFPR shouldve came with a "tamperproof torx" bit. if not, you should be able to get one at Sears or something. i doubt your common hardware stores will carry them, but its possible

Ya I work at autozone and i found a set today I didnt know we even carry! ANd I've been there a year. LOL. Thanks for all the info guys.
