Sportsman II's and comp cams XE268??

I was just wondering if anyone has this combination with a TPI setup. I was considering this for my new motor. I am also debating getting an LT1 intake instead of my TPI, but does anyone have any experience with these products? Thanks in advance.

I'd say the 268 is a bit on the small side for those heads and intake. Consider stepping up, and going with a roller cam.

Man I wish you guys would include specs with the damn cams so we dont have to go look them up...

I have experience with the heads, and I have an LT1 intake that I've started to modify, but it will be going on a 385

Whoa there

That lsa is to close, you can run the duration, but you should do it around 112

I think 110 might be a little heavy.

try one of these marine cams from Comp Cams:
XM262H grind / 12-236-3 part #
218/224 @ .050
.462/.477 @1.5 rockers
112* LSA

or
XM270H grind / 12-240-4 part #
226/236 @ .050
.480/.489 @ 1.5 rockers
112* LSA

I'm running the XM262H with 1.6 rockers(.492/.508) on Dart Iron Eagles, which are similar to the Sportsman II's.

You can sneak more lift in there than that, I feel the lift on those is pretty light. (so you dont get stranded in the middle of the ocean?)

It's got nothing to do with water. I'am running a Super Ram. This is the cam that was recommended by Comp Cams for my application.

You have sportsman II's??

These heads have 200cc intake runners basically throwing low end to the wind, so why not maximize where they do make power? That means duration, and lift, the LSA would be nice to run at 110 but thats just a bit to much for a '165/ '730 ecm to deal with.

I say get a cam with more lift, your heads can take it, so dish it to them
