Little black box by the distributer??

What is that small black thing on a 1990 TPI with two vac lines and an electrical connector going to it? I think it is a vacuum distribution thing for the egr or something?? Can I remove it?

I think it's called a "wiper motor". Yes, you can remove it.

Sounds like me its egr solenoid?

If one of the vacuum lines goes underneith the throttle body and the other to a metal "saucer" under the plenum then thats what it is.

Otherwise it might be the MAP sensor.

Yup

So far there's not any provisions for EGR with an LT1 intake.
