I just got a set of tfs 23 degree heads and I was wondering what a good cam would be to run with them. They won't be going on the engine until I get a new cam and a better intake manifold. I also have a new tci streetfigher convertor that I'll be using. The car is a 89 GTA with an L98 with accell coil and wires. and a 700r4 with a b&m shift kit. I don't want to get radical with the cam because this is a daily driver but I want to take advantage of the heads and better manifold.

Which intake are you going to? A higher rpm intake? or another tuned port intake?

Anyways, that will determin your cam

 

I'm looking to go to a lt1 intake in the not to distant future. I'll probably swap the heads cam and intake at the same time. Also I made a mistake, my car is a 90 model if that makes a difference.

 

I think it would be wise to contact, someone like Comp Cams, on a recomendation on a cam
