I just bought a 89 iroc z and would like to know what they ran stock. its the 5.7 with 2 k&n air filters and a 3 inch exaust with a dynomax muffler. If you have any ideas let me know. I'm guessing 14.8-15.2 am i right?

 

That should be about right. I never got the chance to take mine to the track when it was stock. It got hit while parked and was returned with a new set of gears and posi in it. My very first run with K&N's and a flowmaster muffler joined to what I found out was a 2 1/4" Intermediate pipe with 3.73 gears neter me a 14.9 with a 2.0 60' time. Thats as stock as I ever ran it.

 

That sounds right to me too. But it will depend on the tune and condition of your car.

 

thats what i thought but today i found out it might have some head work and maybe a chip. I have to talk to the prevous owner. I bought it from his in-laws. so if it does have a chip and head work hopefully it does im thinking mid to low 14s
