I have one of those. Dont waste your cash. The only change is the WOT timing curve, you could make that change close to theirs by turning the distributor a little.

Do headers and cam before you do that.

I would recommend getting into custom prom tuning. Also if you can find someone to burn a chip for you. Dotn waste your money on hypercrack stuff.

Lots of people do custom burning, and you should get it programmed for your car.

Either do your own or go to a company that will tune specific to your vehicle, ed write etc..

i agree with all the above, i have a thermomaster and it does more harm then good for me. for slightly more $$$ you can sart burning your own chips.

$160 is all the money I think i've spent on prom burning

and its an investment with continued returns unlike buying one hypertech or even one fastchip etc.

There is an entire board devoted to it, in that board you'll see big flashing lights pointing you to the tech article on it, the tech article has 100% of all the information you need to burn your first prom, if you still have questions then the "DIY PROM" board will be more than happy to answer.

I wouldnt recommend it either... was a big waste of money on my part. Like the others said, if you have the time/money, get into prom burning.

Crappy TPI huh? Uhm, if your TPI car cant break 16's with those mods, theres probably a few problems:
1. You cant tune it.
2. You cant drive it.
3. Both 1 & 2.

My IROC turns better times w/ Hypertech Stage II chip than the $400 "custom chip" from Performance Resource.

i had to spend over 200 for the chip as well as purchase the fan switch and a thermostat and i didn't notice any gains at all with the stock engine setup and even after modifying the intake and exhaust..........

i eventually pulled it and pawned it off to some kid for gas money.

biggest waste of money ever.

Look at the top of the TPI board for the thread titled "Sticky: TPS enhancer with a performance prom " Then go to the DIY prom board and look at the first thread titled Announcement: Make sure you read Trax's Introduction to Prom Burning article! That should just about cover it.
