85' to 89' TPI

is the bolt pattern on the 85' base diferent than the 89'? i was going to switch ecms and figured i could just upgrade the whole thing since i have all my old TPI stuff.

The middle bolts are at a different angle, but you can machine the intake to work. But... there's no point. The 89 intake is IDENTICAL except for the bolt angle, so you'll realize no advantage for all that extra work.

Actually I believe the cold start injector was eliminated in 89, so there will be no hole for it. You'll have to do something about the hole in your runners. You won't use it with the upgraded ecm, anyway. You can just plug the fitting on the fuel rail and hide the wiring if you want.

I know the Lingenfelter website has them (you gotta email them), but they are like $40 there. The message I saved from the other website is at school, but I believe it is Street and Performance. Just email them and ask for a CSI block off kit for a pre '89 TPI. They will know what you are talking about.
