I have an 86 iroc 305tpi. I want to get heads cam and an intake. i want to get the L98 heads, vortec intake manifold,and was wondering if the LT4 hot cam would be a good setup for a supercharger and a stroker kit? if not could i please get some suggestions, maybe a bigger cam or something like that. im trying to build a car for the track but also be able to drive around town on the weekend. Iknow a 350tpi would be faster, but i want to see what i can do with a 305tpi.

 

You can't run the Vortec base with the L98 heads. Vortec base with Vortec heads or stock/aftermarket base with the L98 heads. Differant bolt pattern and intake ports on the Vortec stuff & it's not really interchangable.

The LT4 Hot Cam *may* be a bit much for a 305. I'm running a simular cam is a 383. A 350 would be okay with the LT4 also but I dunno about using it with a 305. My opinion tho.
