88 firebird dieing

im looking to buy a 88 trans am. it is a five speed with 305tpi. the car dies sometimes with u come to a stop sometimes. but it fires right back up. could this be a fuel problem or something. the idle i dont think is too low, cuz it idles fine with u first start it. but ill check.

Could be the problem I have and haven't fixed yet... Idle Air Control Motor. It's located on the bottom of the throttle body and has a four pin connector. It controls the amount of air that bypasses the throttlebody at idle.
