GM SA rockers any good?
I am looking to buy the GM Self Aligning rockers as I want to run centerbolt valve covers and don't want to spend the $$$ for the "narrow" roller rockers...
Are there any quality/durability issues with these up to 6000 rpm?
These are the ones that GM sells for $50 a set...

Are you looking for roller rockers? For that price, I'd say those aren't rollers but just the plain ol' steel rocker arms. I could be wrong though.

while i dont know a ton i have to agree looking through jegs, and other places catalogs and website alike i've never seen rollers for that cheap. but if they are infact roller rockers and self aligning i would bet they have to be made of something ****ty, or mis print in price, or just a surpisingly good deal that lots of people should pick up.

Actually, I am sure that they are NOT roller rockers...and I don't really care about that...as I am not looking to squeeze more HP out of the combo from reduced friction...merely to make sure that I have a 1.5 RR on them.
I guess the issue is whether they should be considered the same as auto parts store replacement stamped steel rockers for accuracy and durability...
If they work OK and I don't have to spend the $250 extra for the roller rockers right now (especially since I am not worried about rocker arm flex cause I will not spin it past 6000 rpm), then that is the reason I ask.
Ideas?
