for thos with stealthram installed

I just got mine running this last week, and have a few questions for the others of you out there. question number 1: Has anybody else checked their distributor gear for abnormal wear. Mine is getting excessive wear at the bottom, i'm going to have to put a shim in it. Question 2: This intake is on a 350 with trick flow heads and a 224/230 cam. I think this combo should break the traction loose in 1rst gear, but i can let out the clutch slowly and let all h*ll break loose, but the tires grab with ease, stock suspension, comp ta z rated tires.

For the others of you out there, this combo starts to pull about 3500 rpm and gets kinda scary about 5000. Easily hits my rev limiter at 6500.

well about the dist. you have to enlargen the hole on the clamp alittle cause it doesn't quite fit. It's off by alittle, that what I did, and it's fine. The Stealth Ram, dist. hole is farther away than the tpi. Not by much by just enough to be a pain.

Ben...

I'm VERY Interested in your mods...I am currently building a 350 w/Vette heads and the stealth ram. I believe I have the same cam you have...it is the GM PP One...509/.528 lift w/224/230 duration.

What are your 1/4 times? I plan on going with the Trickflows someday, but funds and wedding didn't allow it right now.

Thanks,
Greg

I appreciate it...

Out of curiosity...few questions...

1) How is it around town? Does it have any bottom end? I'm assuming with tuning, some will come back...
2) How's it idle?
3) How'd it run on initial startup? What code did you start with? Vette code or your stock 91 Prom?

Thanks,

GregF

it goes around town pretty well, i do think low end will come back with some tuning. It feels exactly like a tpi at about 3000 rpm. Its fine driving around town. Doug over on chevytalk.com made a post on how a cheap 350 with a 225/235 flat tappet cam and untouched holley heads made 400 torque below 3000 rpm, and 405 peak hp and 435 peak torque, check it out.

Idle...... idle..... well, it idles, and you can tell it has a cam in it. It didn't through any codes, i removed the EGR diagnostic so that wasn't a problem. I'm useing a stock 350 prom for now.
