Transmission: Probuilt TH700-r4 tranny with the w
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 7.5" posi 3.42
350 TPI issues
Has anyone out there used 6.0 rods and a high lift cam on a 350 TPI with 305 heads and had a piston shatter on you? Help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The heads came with the engine and a local guy said it would not be a problem if I used the heads with a bigger cam

Oh yes, I just found out that my Edelbrock heads came in. Will the problem I had happen again?
look at your displacement
You won't be able to make 305 heads work to your advantage b/c the compression will be to high to get the power you are looking for. so if those edelbrock heads are for a 305 good luck working at the shop!

Oh, no. I had a f*cked up time the first time with those damn heads, I wouldn't dare buy another set! I bought the heads for a 350.
